Thursford santas magical journey

Christmas 2025

Christmas is just around the corner, so let the festivities commence. Theres plenty to see and do across Norfolk this season for all the family to enjoy!

Holt lights are always a splendour and often the first event of the season, this year ‘Festive Holt’ kicks off on the 15th of November and continues through until the 17th and is geared up to be a great opportunity to go late night shopping and enjoy the entertainment provided. Not only is this event great for all the children but it’s an opportunity to explore one of Norfolk’s Market Towns and experience local music performed by The Sheringham Shantymen. Lights are switched on at dusk, but the event is now focused on the shops and activities, rather than the lights turning on, perfect if you’re not a big fan of the crowds!

Winter Wonderland is back at Norwich, offering a great chance to enjoy activities with the family, ice skating, rides and a variety of foods. Book ahead and take a trip to Norwich to enjoy this experience until January 4th. Tie in your Wonderland trip with Norwich light switch on Nov 20th.

Sheringham is always a great spot to enjoy during the cosy season. The annual light switch on is taking place on November 30th. Alongside this enjoy the joys of our heritage railway with The Norfolk Lights Express, an illuminated train journey from Sheringham to Holt. Sheringham is holding its Christmas Market on December 9th, and if you, or the family, are wanting to meet the man himself, Father Christmas is at the little theatre on November 30th.

Christmas is coming to Cromer in early December for the light switch on and a little closer to home Overstrand are holding their Christmas Bazaar on November 15th.

Thursford Christmas Spectacular is certainly spectacular, running from early November through to the 22nd December, a real cracker of a show.
