Dippy is coming to Norwich July 2020
The Cathedral is to host the Natural History Museums Dippy the dinosaur from 11th July to 31st October.
The visit is part of the grand tour which started in Dorset County Museum in 2018 and ending the visit to our beautiful Norwich cathedral, the centuries old architecture will provide a stunning backdrop for the 85ft Diplodocus.
Dippy is a plaster cast of a Diplodocus found by railroad workers in Wyoming, USA, in 1898.
There is so much more to see and do at the Cathedral so why not make a day of it and explore the amazing Cathedral building, discover the largest Cathedral Close and monastic Cloisters in England.
Dine in the award winning Refectory, this is a pleasure in itself.
Designed by Sir Michael Hopkins and completed in 2004, the Refectory building is modern with its use of glass and wood, built tastefully within the ancient setting.
