1940s Weekend
A very British weekend on the North Norfolk Railway.
North Norfolk Railway turns back the clock for the 1940s weekend on 21st and 22nd of September. This increasingly popular event takes place at Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt stations on the Poppy Line Railway , lots of atmosphere and action attracts visitors from all over the country. You can go in 1940s uniform or civilian dress to get into the swing of things even take your gas mask and ration book. See the vintage cars, bicycles, steam trains arriving at the station. Sample the different war-time foods while listening to the music of the Salvation Army band.

September of Wildlife – Trees & Fungi
Monday 23rd 13.00 – 16.00 hours
Free expert-led sessions where you can discover and learn to identify a wide variety of local plants and animals. All activities are suitable for beginners as well as those with more experience.
Pigney Wood, NR28 0SB, between North Walsham and Knapton. Meet at car park. Activities will move to the barn if raining. FREE minibus transport available, leaving from North Walsham train station half an hour before the start time, returning at the end.
Plant Fair at Holkham Hall
Saturday 28th- Sunday 29th
Plant nurseries from across East Anglia will come together for this two-day plant fair hosted in the Walled Gardens at Holkham. September is a great time to stock up on plants for autumn planting. Find that special plant for a special spot and get advice and tips for selecting the right plant. Other gardening essentials such as pots, compost and labels will also be available.
