Swallow Cottage No.1, Wickmere, Norfolk - Sleeps 4 + cot

This charming cottage is one of a pair of traditional cottages nestled together overlooking mature gardens and meadowland in the rural village of Wickmere. With cosy rooms, exposed beams and traditionally decorated they make lovely countryside retreats.

Wickmere is surrounded by small villages with plenty of local restaurants and pubs to choose from. The shops are just 1 mile and the coast is just 15 minutes away. An ideal touring base for North Norfolk and its many attractions.

More about the cottages

Swallow Cottages have a large enclosed south facing garden overlooking meadows and open countryside within a conservation area. There is a healthy population of Barn owls which hunt along the garden, as well as Tawny and Little owls which have nested in nearby oak trees for many years.

Many song birds and raptors are also frequently seen, making this a good place for a spot of bird watching. The neighbouring villages offer several good pubs and inns providing food for all pockets and tastes.
